It's the weekend. What is in your soap pot.

I anyone making soap this weekend? I am trying to get my website set up, I might try to sneak a batch of brown sugar and fig in.

I need to make another batch of Lilacs by the Lake tonight. Ran out yesterday and it is in demand right now. I am also going to work on lip balms for a golf fundraiser we are doing in Aug. for MS. I have to get the labels together! I want the name of the fundraiser on them and MS logo, I got permission from The National MS Society in our town to use the logo. Wooohooooo!

I am also thinking of doing some golf ball soaps for the gift bags at the fundraiser. Just need a golf ball mold. LOL

I might get a chance tomorrow. My problem is that everything is so nice and clean right now that I don't want to make a mess. Cause then I'll have to clean it all again. :P

LOL Holly I know that feeling, I thought I was the only one who thought that way.

I am going to do a batch of lavender soap and hope to create a new fragrance blend with palma rosa EO. If I come up with a nice blend, I will make a soap tommorrow with that.

I made soap! Woo-hoo!

In the pink mold is Carrots n Cream. It's a mostly olive oil soap with pureed carrots and heavy cream. I left it unscented.

In the blue molds is my first batch of castile! I'm calling them Castile Colors because I'm going to use the colors later in other soaps.

They all look great! Your colors are sooooo pretty !

The soap itself feels great after one day!! It can just get better... but I had colorant issues... sooo wish I had gone for just natural as I always do... maybe that's also cool... leave those awesome swirls and color work for you guys... the colorant bleeds into the lather... dirtyish lather when washing... doesn't stain but is not nice to see...

And did I say that I dropped a frangrance oil bottle... 500ml FO all over!! still smell it everywhere!!

Kim, sounds good... I am going to repeat my recipe of last weekend but not gonna color it... going to add a touch of TiO2 and that' s about it... might make it Thursday instead as part of a class demonstration... if not over the weekend... I'll replace BM with GM... I've run out of... will let you guys know how it goes...

As for us, no we went on another boating trip. Took a grand daughter, her best friend, and a great nephew to spend the weekend. Had a great time, but was pretty hot for sleeping at night. When the weather is nice, the boat is our priority.

Yes, they sure did. We anchored in a small dark cove at night and made them watch the movie Alien, to get them good and scared. Then tubed during the day until their brains about fell out.

How fun! We love to head to the lake on the weekends. We have a tube similar but it has a hole. No matter since we'd need another adult to go with us and we don't have anyone else we like well enough that would go.
