I am making blender soap

I have not done this and have always wanted to try it, so I am making a 1 lb batch in the blender today! Has anyone else done this and if so, do you have any tips or tricks?

Soooooooooooo I got the blender out measured my oils and lye and then I CHICKENED out I just could not do it. It does not seem safe to me. So, I put it in my molds and walked away from the blender

ah, damn..LOL , but understandable! Im sure one day we will laugh at how simple it is, like we do now with regular soap..lol

Would the blender put in too many bubbles?

I have never tried it, but heard it can be done. I would want a splash guard just in case.

I know, it just scared the heck out of me. I kept picturing the top popping off and me having lye and raw soap everywhere. In some of the tuts I read they say the soap can "burp" before removing the top. Uh, not into burping soap. Nope, not me. :!:

I think Blender soap was the predecessor of stick blending... with stick blending the realized you had more control and less danger... just get the SB out in there...

blender soap was what I first googled a long time before I actually made soap around 2000-2002...

SB just seems much more convenient and safe...

I did it!!
Years, and years ago. Like another lifetime ago. About 12 years ago. Was nerve raking. But ok. Came out kind of spongy though due to all the air put into the soap.

Well...that's great to know, I now know I won't be trying this .

My DIL just gave me a blender, I have been thinking about trying it , but don't have the nerve yet..

with the air the soap might just float too... hehe!!
