I made a double batch of honey oatmeal (32 bars), put it in the fridge so it wouldn't overheat, took it out of the molds and it looked beautiful...but it did look a little smaller then usual. Later in the day when I went to cut it the inside looked the way it always does, but the sides & ends looked like heavy ash & was zappy! I couldn't figure it out, my recipe, which I love, was the same.
Well... I realized what it was when I started to make another batch of soap...my scale (so called good scale with a lifetime warranty
) is no longer working! Fortunately I have another scale, but what do you do with a failed batch (32 bars !!) of honey oatmeal soap:( ?
