I wonder if anyone has tried stevia for sweetening. (I think I read that Kimberly uses it). Does .5 tsp per pound sound right...or more or less?

I use the liquid stevia. You could start at .5tsp per pound. I use it in lip balm and just made a few ounces so I tested it out as I went drop by drop, it is very sweet a little bit goes a long way.

Yep, I get it at a health food store, but they have it in grocery stores now too.

I think most liquid stevia products have water in it though, so you may need to add a preservative?

I bought the individual packets at Sams (huge box). It is a powder like equal or sweet n low. Still haven't tried it though, been busy making other stuff.
