workin on a new recipe, ordered some coconut milk powder! Recipe will be Coconut Milk for the liquid base, Olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil and castor.

You will love it Kim. I sb it well into my lye water before I add the lye.

FYI health food stores often have cm powder, saves on the shipping cost for me.

oh yes, sugar, powdered milks, any thing like that should be stirred into the water befor ethe lye added, or it creates crystals and other "pockets"

I love coconut milk in soap! It seems to add to its bubbliness and conditioning, but I can't exactly quantify how. I always mix up the coconut milk and make sure it's smooth. Then, for the lye water, I just use a standard 50% solution, then I add the same weight of coconut milk as the lye into the soap after a couple of spins (but before trace).

It always seems to work for me, no matter how much guar gum they add to the coconut milk.
